Anita Baker was born on 26 January, 1958 is an American R & B and soul singer-songwriter. So far, Baker won eight Grammy Awards, and has four platinum albums and two gold albums to her credit. Baker released her debut album, The Songstress, in 1983. Produced by the late Patrick meetings and Otis Smith, the album was released on a small label, Beverly Glen Records.
Baker signed a contract with Elektra Records, a division of Warner Music Group. She released her second album, Rapture, in 1986. Baker collaborated with The Winans on the single "Is not No need to worry", which led Baker to her third Grammy Award the year after, at best Soul Gospel Performance by a Duo or Group, Choir or Chorus category.
Baker returned to the studio in 1990 for their fourth album, titled compositions. Baker fifth album, Rhythm of Love, was released in September 1994. Baker released his first Christmas album, Christmas Fantasy. Baker appeared on the Dave Koz's album in the cinema. She sang "Somewhere" from the musical West Side Story.
